What organic chemical(s) was used to do this?
« on: June 14, 2021, 12:06:54 PM »
Hi all,

I am here trying to find the answer to a question and I am hoping someone here may be able to help.

In this video some men are stripping the vinyl off a trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Wc3u2DdMAU&t=94s

They claim to use a safe bio-degradable solution and the vinyl appears to just bubble up and slough off, one guy uses his hand to swipe the vinyl off so I believe it is safe.

Although the top layer of vinyl is removed the solution does not remove the glue that help the vinyl stick to the trailer, that has to be pressure washed off later.

I have already tried a 50/50 water/citric acid mix and that produced no results.

To sweeten the pot my company will pay $1000 to anyone who can come up with the solution, we will have to test it first but if it works the money is yours.

You can message me directly and I will be happy to provide my contact info.

Thank you for your time.

John
