empirical formula
« on: October 17, 2006, 05:31:03 AM »
Hi all.

I feel totally fustrated. I know it is simple but I cant get it. *delete me*!!! [Compound A contains 77.7% fe and 22.3% O and 50g of compound B contain 35g of Fe and 15g of O. I can get the empirical formular for this fine. it is the last part that says 3.62g of Iron reacted with Oxygen to form 5g of compound C? Any idea how I calculate the empirical formular for that?Thank you!!!!! :-*

5g of C contains 3.62g of Fe - what percentage it is? Oxygen is the rest.
