Anisaldehyde visualizing agents

Anisaldehyde visualizing agents are often used in TLC to visualize the spots. I would like to know the visualizing mechanism for my report. If you know the mechanism or the paper about it, please let me know.

Can you make a suggestion of your own, perhaps starting with the type of molecules that are visualized?
