Would there be gas flow?
« on: August 14, 2021, 03:55:19 PM »
I have two sealed containers of different volumes (one bigger and one smaller) filled with the same gas at the same pressure at the same temperature, connected by a tube with a closed valve. If I open the valve so that gas can flow between the two containers, is there any gas flow?

I think there will be no gas flow, but I am not certain. I don't feel like I have an intuitive grasp on what would happen.

Did you ever open any container with a gas under pressure ?

There will be no flow, only a diffusion.
