« on: October 21, 2006, 12:37:42 PM »
I am confused with this question...

An atoms have this electronic configurations
1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s2 3d6

If this atom form cation, which of the electron will be released?

Actually which one is the outermost electron? 4s2 or 3d6?

Thanx ya...
