Why do you ask?  A long time ago, I worked with P-32.  It was not overly hazardous, but the extra precautions were a minor addition to my workload.  Who needs extra hassle in one's life?

Check the state regulation. Im not from US but our law here clearly specifies the amounts of radioactive isotopes you can own and what you need to do to be able to own them.
To make it short: you can own tiny tiny amounts of few isotopes, others are highly regulated and require bunch of paperwork and are not for layperson to have.
