TiO2 (titanium dioxyde) UV-light reflecting propperties
« on: October 25, 2006, 05:13:11 AM »
Hello everybody! I hope you can help me in a research problem, we are trying to determine how  insects react to UV light signals and we need to cover some surfaces with an UV reflecting material that works in the 300-400 nm wave lenghts, more exactly around the 360nm value. From what we've found out the TiO2 powder does the trick, and is available as food colourant E171,  but how can we know for sure? Anyone has knowledge about the spectral light reflection of this compound?

Thank you!
