Atomic absorption with autosampler
« on: December 11, 2021, 12:58:56 AM »
Hello everyone,

I am using an A A Spectrometer. So far I have been reading the samples manually. But the workload has increased so I would like to use an autosampler on it. I have a  S10 autosampler which I do not need anymore on the ICP.
I connected it all up with the shortest possible tubing between the probe and the nebulizer.
Now I have following problem.
I set the read delay to 30 seconds and for about the first 10 samples it works fine. Then the sample flow decreases that badly, that I would have to set the read delay to about 90 sec. Even if I clean out the nebulizer it doesn`t get better.
Has someone had the same problem or an idea what the problem could be? Would it help to use a peri pump to transport the sample?
Are there nebulizers with a bigger bore so that the sample flow can be increased?
