What have you found so far?  Also, your answers will be different depending on whether you mean enzymatic or non-enzymatic.

I think of KMnO4-alkaline or acidic, Cr(VI)O3-acidic (probably also neutral), NaClO/TEMPO or Acetobacter as you suggest.
