Rust contamination through boil still
« on: April 07, 2022, 12:45:54 AM »
So I'v run a home game still for a few years, and one thing that we always avoid is rust for obvious reasons. But then today I was thinking about what your doing with distilling. Would any contaminants of rust actualy carry over? I don't feel like being the dumb guy to kill him self with  that test, but what would? Or is distilling water/alcohol enough to remove rust contamination? I know back in the yester year of rum production, they would actualy poop in the grain to prevent the poor from eating it. So it does get rid of a lot of contaminants.
