Nobel Prize 2022

(1/1)

Borek:
This just in:

https://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/chemistry/2022/summary/

"The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2022 was awarded jointly to Carolyn R. Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and K. Barry Sharpless "for the development of click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry""

Babcock_Hall:
Fred Sanger was the only other chemist to receive two Nobel awards.  If Professor Woodward had lived a little longer, he might have shared in a second prize.

wildfyr:
Linus Pauling (Chemistry and Peace), Marie Curie (Chemistry and Physics) and Bardeen (physics 2x) are the other 2x winners.

I think we can claim Pauling and Marie Curie as chemists :)

Babcock_Hall:
Yes, but both of Dr. Sanger's awards were in Chemistry.

All I've got to do is win two more and I'll be tied for first place!
