Fermenter cooling capacity
« on: November 08, 2022, 06:06:42 AM »
Hello everyone,

I have a question/calculation regarding the cooling capacity of a 180m3 fermenter:

The heat production was measured at 15°C/h for a fermentation at 37°C and the fermenter is able to evacuate this produced heat.
For another fermentation, the heat production was measured between 10 and 12°C/h throughout the fermentation. The only difference is that the first fermentation take place at 37°C, while the second take place at 30°C. One question remains: is the 10-12°C/h heat generation feasible at 30°C?

I just have this information and tried to calculate the heat balance but I think I need more information. Maybe you have other ideas or know what important information I should collect.

Thank you in adave for you feedback  :)

Steven
