How often can sodium nitrite be exposed to oxygen until it oxidizes into sodium nitrate and how long will the process take?

Rates of reaction depend (for a start) on (1) temperature, (2) concentrations, (3) pH, (4) phases of reactants, and (5) particle size (in the case of solids). It is impossible to answer this question generally.
