Ionic Equation Question

(1/1)

chickennuggetman225:
I must find the total ionic equation of this formula:

Cu(OH)2(s) --> CuO(s) + H2O(l)

All the videos i've seen say to split all (aq) substances to find the total ionic equation but this is different.

Borek:
This is a trick question, ionic equations make sense only for substances that are dissolved and dissociated.

Vidya:
Solids are not completely soluble.
So you need to take help of Ksp concept to calculate the molar ion concentrations of Cu(OH)2 and CuS.
