Copper Napthenate + Zinc 2-Ethylhexanoate: Acetic Acid?

(1/1)

DanTheBeeMan:
G'day Folks, I was wondering if there's any way that Copper Napthenate (C22H14CuO4) produced from napthenic acid + Zinc 2-Ethylhexanoate (C16H30O4Zn) could possibly form acetic acid (CH3COOH) or a similar smelling compound? There are other compounds in the formulation including a de-aromatized aliphatic hydrocarbon. I'm a bit stumped... appreciate your help.

chenbeier:
No way to make a copper compound by using a zinc reactant.
