How to manually calculate the NPK content of a media?

(1/1)

Jimbro:
I work in a tissue culture laboratory and we have several custom made medias that I would like to know the NPK ratio for. How would I work that out? For example, one of the medias contains 7-8 different chemicals (along with sugar, agar etc).

Borek:
You need to separately calculate amount of each element in each compound in the mixture and sum them up. If you know the mixture composition that should be simple.
