I'm running a pure silver refining cell with pure silver at the anode, steel at the cathode, with a 30g / liter electrolytic solution of silver nitrate. The cell runs at a constant voltage 3.5 v which produces about .5 AMPs.

My understanding is, this produces little to no NO2. But I want to confirm, and maybe get some help calculating the actual amount per hour.

I do NOT make my own silver nitrate :)

I think there will be no NO2, because you using the same element as anode as in the solution, here silver. NO2 would be producerd, if you have an inert anode then the nitrate ions will be decompose.

In general I am with Hunter - there is no reason for NO2 to appear between products.

That being said I wouldn't be surprised too much by traces of NO2 produced due to some side reactions. But these are quite difficult to predict and definitely not stoichiometric.
