DNA Can duplicate itself without an enzyme
(1/1)
Mitch:
Self replicating DNA? Could this molecule of been the precurssor to life, instead of RNA?
You can read more here: http://www.nature.com/nsu/040329/040329-7.html
Donaldson Tan:
BTW German scientists have successfully synthesised a Si-based molecule that can self-replicate 3-4yr ago
Mitch:
self assemble or self-replicate?
Donaldson Tan:
replicate.. just like the DNA reconstructing itself in cell synthesis..
One Armed Scissor:
that's cool but also crappy at the same time - it goes at 100,000 times slower than DNA polymerase? That's slow.
