A 25.5g PIECE OF CHEDDAR CHEESE CONTAINS 37% FAT, 28% PROTEIN, AND 4% CARBOHYDRATE. THE RESPECTIVE FUEL VALUES FOR PROTEIN, FAT, AND CARBOHYDRATES ARE 17,38, AND 17kJ/g, RESPECTIVELY. THE FUEL VALUE FOR THIS PIECE OF CHEESE IS ___________ kJ.

Please help me I needed to know how to worh this problem.

How do you work out the values of

Fat
Protein
Carbohydrates
Salt
Water

in foods?

i think certain type of spectrocopy not only identify the compound, but also can tell you its distribution. eg. raman spectroscopy. another way is to carry out a chemical analysis.
