125g of SO2 has how many moles of S?

do i just divide (mass/molar mass of S)

k, well i figured out you do this.... mass of 125g/molar mass of S plus O2   but i don't really understand the concept and why this is the way?

The concept is easy: One mole of Sulfur dioxide contains exactly one mole of Sulfur.
So in this case: moles of SO2 = moles of S
