News: Summer Prospectus
« on: June 07, 2004, 02:55:06 AM »
I would like to announce 2 new global moderators. Jdurg and Awk have both accepted the new position. This allows them to have full moderator controls for all the forums instead of being individual moderators for each forum seperately. Congradulate them when you see them.

The dreaded summer months of inactivity are coming our way. I would expect the influx of new people to be at a minimum as we enter summer break. Summer months are notorious for science fair projects, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see more of that type of questions.

All in all, I'm still shocked at the success of this little internet adventure. We're averaging 100 new members a month. Although most don't stick around that is still huge numbers for a beginning forum.

Also, I've been contemplating adding a new page for the website that would contain all the formulas one finds in General Chemistry for quick reference around the forums. Volunteers welcomed, because I don't want to do it.

Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
