Help
« on: January 01, 2008, 10:23:04 AM »
Hello,

Would like if possible your help to recognize this image. It is for a contest, so if you don't find, it is not of vital importance. But I would appreciate your opinion.

Could this image be a "molecule"? If yes, which one could it be?

Thank you!

Raza

It does not look like a molecule to me.

If it was molecule related, I would guess it would be trying to represent the interstices (or holes) of some sort of closed-pack sphere model; of something in the shape of a icosahedron, such a B12.

But really to me, it looks like some sort of interwoven Kaleidocycle's ala M.C. Escher, transposed on top of a picture of some old European location.

*shrugs*

Thank you, enahs.
I'm still puzzled by this "structure"...
Like you, I think it has low chance to be a molecule...
If any of you have an idea, even "eccentric", please let me know.
Thanks to you all.

if it's a molecule it's definitely a silicate...
