Hello to all
I wish to know the fish oils testing by HPLC for fatty acids analysis possible with UV-Vis detection.
If anybody knows please let me know the procedure.

Thanks in advance.

With fatty acids, It is recommended that FID or MS are very good detection methods.
UV-VIS, in my point of view, can hardly detect fatty acids. As you know, we must form substances or complexes that are able to absorb light in UV-VIS region at a typical wavelength. I think fatty acids in fish oils don't possess that properties.

   Hope will help you!
