mole calc

1) no. of moles of MOLECULES in 10g glucose(C6H12O6)
2) no. of moles in 10g glucose(C6H12O6)

for the calculations, are they the same?  ???

For me it is either-either. Number of molecules OR number of moles. No idea what 'number of mole of molecules' is. Perhaps the question is about number of moles, just wording is confusing.

To calculate the number moles of moleculas we need a reaction!

See the example to explain number of moles of moleculas!!!! (I got this information from spanish example)

Combustion Reaction of Butane is:
2 C4H10 + 13 O2 -----> 8 CO2 + 10 H2O

Calculate:

a) The number of moleculas of Butane necesary to obtain 100 moleculas of water.

According to "balanced reaction",  2 moleculas of butane produce 10 moleculas of water

Then, 100 moleculas of water x 2 moleculas of butane/10 moleculas of water = 20 moleculas of butane are necesary to obtain 100 moleculas of water


b) The number of moles of moleculas of butane necesaries to get 48 moles of moleculas of Carbon Dioxide

The "balanced reaction" tell us that 8 moles of moleculas of carbon dioxide react with 2 moles of moleculas of butane.

Then, 48 moles de moleculas of CO2 x 2 moles de moleculas of Butane (C4H10) / 8 moles de moleculas of CO2 = 12 moles de molecluas of Butane (C4H10).

For Pig70:

For 10 g of Glucose => 1 mol of molecule of Glucose = 252 grams of Glucose

So, by convertion factor => 10 g of Glucose x 1 mol of molecule of Glucose/252 grams of Glucose
to get 0,0396 moles of molucules of Glucose

For 10 g of Glucose => 1 mol of Glucose = 252 grams of Glucose => you will get the same result!

All your examples refer in fact just to moles, not to "moles of molecules". 12 moles of butane give 48 moles of carbon dioxide. Period.
