Chemical Engineering Simulation Freeware/Open source?
« on: December 02, 2006, 09:09:17 PM »
Is there a freeware or open source program for chemical engineers to design and simulate a Plant design?  An example of the type of software is Aspen 12.1 and ProII but I am pretty sure I can not afford these.

Hello pollution,

I personally have a program which I created (It took over 8 years to create), and I know of zero freeware/open source programs.

Most people guard this info/data very well.

I wish you the best,

Eugene

AFAIK There isen't any..

The best thing you could do would be to write one youself... Probably using Octave as a starting point...

Cheers

I was reading about OPENCheESE here... and I'm sorry about it's stopped.

Resuscitating the topic...  8)
I know about 2 opensource process simulators:
List of free process simulators:
and a copy of sim42 (dead free process simulator) is available here.
