How to Operate the UV Spectrophotometer?
« on: January 10, 2007, 01:35:47 AM »
Hello. i am just a newly registered fellow here.... I will be doing adsorption experiment on nitrate-nitrogen removal from drinking water using activated carbon from bamboo and CRH. In my adsorption experiment, i will be using the UV Spectrophotometer, but my problem is, the manualis written in japanese because, i am a filipino n doing this experiment in japan. The model of the machne is Hitachi (U-3500/U-4000). Please help me with my concern... And please advice me on how to better my research on activation and adsorption.

I am not a chemist nor a chemical engineer by profession, can u help me understand the study of adsorption equilbrium using langmuir and freundlich isotherms, as well as adsorption kinetics?

Thank you very much ang looking forward for your immediate response...

For both isotherms try WIkipedia as a starting point (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Langmuir_isotherm).
