Ketene, methyl acrylate & nitrobenzene reactions
« on: January 24, 2007, 02:49:52 PM »
What products will such reactions give? :
CH2=C=O + D2O = ?
CH2=C=O + Ar-NH2 = ?

I only know that they give anhydrides when reacting with acids...

Next two:

CH2=CHCOOCH3 + CH3NH2
CH2=CHCOOCH3 + HCN, then hydrolisis

Finally:

Ar-NO2 + NaOH (in water, 20C) =
CH3CH2CH2CH2NO2 + NaOH (in water, 20C) =

I'm not sure, but I think that theese reactions might result in some anions

Big thanks in advance!
