I dont know hoe they make it but I know that the ingredients are a very non-high tech mixture of 70% water, 20% stearinic acid, 10% glycerine with traces of colouring, antioxidants (to keep the _cream_ fresh, it was never meant for your skin) and perfume.

When I repair my mothers cabin roof, I often use a special "vanishing cream" of asphalt, sand and some sort of tar, same trick, much more useful  ;D
No single thing abides, but all things flow.
Fragment to fragment clings, and thus they grow
Until we know and name them.
Then by degrees they change and are no more
The things we know.
