emi:
i analyse silver from waste water using atomic absorption spectrometer. Can anyone tell me how i can digest the sample? I used HNO3 and microwave digestion, but can i use aqua regia to obtain a better result ?
Please tell me

AhmedEzatAlzawalaty:
i think i know taht aqua regia dissolves all.but see if it affects the device and results

ARGOS++:
Dear emi,

Of course, that you can use “Aqua Regia” to solve your samples and
your Problem too, because as its name “implies” from the history, that
“Aqua Regia” solves even your golden wedding ring(s), too, and that
with ease, if freshly prepared!!
You may refer to:
    “How can I clean my Cuvettes?  (Reinigen von Küvetten) “ under:

But if you use it in the analytical sense, keep care you have not
cross-contamination of any kind (other metals, etc., and you use inert! Instruments, at
least all parts that may contact your Sample.
It can’t be guaranteed, that you not have, in this case, to repeat your
calibration, too.

Good Luck!
