Dear ahmedezat,

(ahmedezat,  - You are missed.)

Gooch crucible” as “Platinum crucible” too, are pieces of laboratory equipments
for “High Temperature Chemistry” as Reactions, “Incineration”, and so on.
Pictures you may see on: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crucible

About “Turbidity of water“:
If you paint the inner bottom with an adequate PIGMENT, you are able to estimate with certain reliability
the turbidity of “not too strong coloured” water/”waste water”, in case
you have done before a reliable as possible calibration.
It can be a very handy method for “on the field”, as the “pathlength”  of your “cuvette”
is all times quite well defined (and ?doubled?)!

Good Luck!
