Zn,Cd,Hg chlorid complexes

Hello
I want to make complexs for phenyl Salicylate by Zn,Cd,Hg chloride but what will be happen, ester bond will hydrolyse becouse present chloride in the solution,shloud I do it at room temp. or by heating?
I want advice about the ester complex condition to avoide the hydrolysis.
