how to do chemical synthesis?
« on: April 12, 2007, 01:10:52 PM »
I don't get it, how do your know what the products of two chemicals will be?
Like....

MgSO4 + CH3COOH --> ?
(magnesium salfate + acetic acid --> ?)

How the heck to do you figure it out?

oh yea and another question that might sound dumb..
why dosn't table sugar (C12H22O11) react wih table salt (NaCl)? and would they react if heated?
Thanks to anyone how helps me here ;D
