how to neutralize saltpeter?

i have a doubt...

how can i neutralize the saltpeter? What do i have to add to neutralize it?

Does the Sodium bisulphite helps?

What do you mean "neutralize saltpeter?" Saltpeter is the salt formed by reacting nitric acid with potassium hydroxide or other appropriate potassium salts. Since it is the salt of a strong acid and a strong base, it should be neutral in solution. Please be clearer with your question.

i want to protect for e.g. a wall from corrosion...
