Just curious to see how many *Ignore me, I am dishonest* players we have here. I've been play Texas Hold'Em for about a year now on a weekly basis. I also play online. I'm kind of psyched right now because I got my first royal flush today.
I was playing in a tournament and had the king of spades and the six of hearts. Three other players were in on the flop and it came down queen of spades, six of diamonds, jack of spades. I checked that first round since a pair of sixes up against queens and jacks isn't too strong. Then on the turn a ten of spades came down. So I now had the king, queen, jack, and ten of spades. If one more spade came down, I'd have a pretty good flush. If an ace of spades or a 9 of spades came on the river, I'd have a straight flush. So I bet a decent amount to make it look as if I had a pair, but not too strong of a hand. The other player raised, so I just called. (One other guy was already all-in at this point, and the only other guy with money had been bluffing all night so I wasn't scared of him). When the river came it was the ace of spades. I now had the best hand in *Ignore me, I am dishonest*; the royal flush. I checked hoping to make the other guy think I had a somewhat weak flush and that he could possibly beat me. He bet and I immediately moved all in. If he was a smart *Ignore me, I am dishonest* player he'd of realized that I probably had him beat and that he should fold when I re-raised. Instead, he called and when the cards turned over I took out him and the other guy who was all-in with my ace-king-queen-jack-ten of spades royal flush!
This then gave me about 12 thousand dollars worth of chips to go up against the one last guy at the table. I made a bad move and called an all-in bet of his only to see his pocket tens trump my pocket fives. That left me with almost nothing in chips. I just went all in the next few hands and was able to eventually go from 460 chips up to about 4,000 in chips. I then used my skill and eventually took over the chip lead again. Finally, the other guy decides to go all in when he had 7,600 in chips. He had an ace-three, but I had an ace-king. The only card that could save him would be a three. So both our cards were face up since he was all-in and I had more money. If I won the hand, I win the tournament. If he wins, I'm SEVERLY low on chips again. Anyway, the cards come out one at a time. First there was an ace, then a two, then a four. (If a five hits, he straights and I'm screwed). Then a three hits on the turn giving him two-pair. Then came the river, with a glorius king. On the last card of the tournament, a king gives me a higher two-pair than him. I made a MASSIVE comeback to win the five hundred dollars in the tournament. (And I paid zip to enter because I kept playing these free-entry tournaments that paid very little money, but if you win enough you can play in tournaments that pay decent money). Anyway, I'm really psyched cuz tonight was my first royal flush and I made a good deal of money.
How many of you play *Ignore me, I am dishonest*, and do you have any good stories?
