Selective reduction of amide carbonyl?
«
on:

Is it possible to selectively reduce an amide to an amine (not trying to cleave the amide) without touching any other carbonyls in the compound?
Has this been done?

Start search literature from:
peptides - J Org Chem. 1976 Apr 2;41(7):1260-1.
Nucleosides Nucleotides Nucleic Acids. 2000 Jan-Feb;19(1-2):275-82
Rapid and selective reduction of amide group by borane-amine complexes in acyl protected nucleosides.
