I have a 1960 silver half dollar and it is in bad shape, you can't really tell it is a half dollar.

I thought I could have some fun with it and get the silver out, but I have no idea how.

I have dissolved pennies in hydrocloric acid/pool acid before in my yard but the half dollar doesn't work.

Does any body know a way that I could do at home and not blow my self up at the same time?
