any news junkies out there?

What do you think about the probable new Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas?  The article I saw on him seemed promising--hopes for peace with Israel and such--but I've really not heard much else about him.  And what about that robbery in Belfast (with the IRA believed responsible)?  AND what about the arrest of the man believed to be responsible for the 1963? murders of three civil rights workers in Mississippi?

Anyway, that's what came up on Google news now when I looked.

/sucker for some good news gossip

Personally, though he seems earnest in wanting to mend relations, I don't see how this guy can have any power over such a disjointed group of people who each seem to have their own extreme positions and often act on their own anyways.  Does he have any legitamacy with the more extreme groups? and if not, I just see more of the same kind of informally sanctioned violence happening.

IRA?  Perhaps they're just kind of killing boredom after being kind of inactive for a while.

Civil rights worker killer?  I think the more interesting story is how civil rights today have actually taken several steps backwards.

civil war is the more likely future.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

Even that would be more interesting...  they're rolling back our rights without as so much as a squeak from the public.
