octet rule

What is a molecule with bonding that follows the octet rule? I know that CO, carbon monoxide, is one but I need to collect some (put it in a bag, container, etec) but I can't get CO.

Put the bag on the exhaust to collect some CO along with other nasty stuff.

isn't that the reason why cars have a Catalytic Converter, so no CO escapes?
