Another Density/volume problem

Can anyone solve this..
Question : John is given a sample of precious alloy of density 11 g/cm3.  The piece of metal is 5.696 cm long and has a square end of 2.97 × 2.97 cm.  He is told to machine this piece of metal into a cylinder with a diameter of 2.97 cm.  He is told that he will be given the shavings to sell on his own.  The price of the alloy is $4.03/g.  How much money will John earn?
Error tolerance:  ±$0.01

My answ: $477.98

My attempt:
Volume= 50.2 cm2
Mass= 552.2

Volume cylinder= 39.46 cm3
Volume of shaving= 10.74 cm3

11g/cm3 x 10.74 cm3 = 118.14 g
118.14g x $4.03/g = $477.98


Does my answer look correct?  :-\
