Volume?
« on: September 23, 2007, 02:52:53 PM »
Two liquids have respective densities of 2.855g/mL and 8.879g/mL. If the volume of the first liquid is 25.311mL, what is the volume of the other (in mL)?

I don't know where to even start with this equation. The mass isn't given for the second liquid! Can anyone figure this one out?

I agree.  There is not enough information provided to solve the problem.  My guess would be that they omitted a sentence saying that the masses of the two liquids were equal.
