Ksp of Semi-Soluable salt and Molarity (help me please)
« on: September 30, 2007, 02:55:03 PM »
Consider the semi-soluble salt, M3Z. If the solubility (s) of M3Z is 1.0 x 10-5 M in 1.0 M Na3Z, do
the EQ calculations to determine: (i) Ksp for M3Z; and, (ii) the molarity (M ) of an aqueous soln of
M2SO4 for which s for M3Z is also 1.0 x 10-5 M (as it is in 1.0 M Na3Z). Show all pertinent work.

Please read forum rules.

Start writing dissolution reaction equation and formula for Kso. Which concentrations do you know? Which you can calcylate from the reaction stoichiometry?
