why pcbs are a concern.

hey guys, i'm stumped on this question: if the concentration of toxic materials such as PCBs is very low in organisms such as plankton, why is there such concern for mammals? if you could help me out that would be great. thanks

I'm not sure, but you might want to look up bioaccumulation.
