calculate volume of buffer in reaction mixture
« on: October 02, 2007, 07:40:01 AM »
Hi guys,

I have this urgent problem.
How do you calculate the volume of potassium phosphate buffer to add in a 1ml reaction mixture? The reaction mixture must contain 100mM potassium phosphate buffer, 0.3mM H202, 0.5mM ascorbate and the enzyme extract.

I have 1L of 100mM potassium phosphate buffer. I want to know how much to add into the reaction mixture.

Hope you guys can help me. Thanks a lot!

Any addition to 100mM buffer dilute it. You should prepare other stock solution (eg 200 mM) or use 100 mM buffer and neglect its dilution.
