calculating mM from PH
« on: October 04, 2007, 01:35:23 PM »
Been stuck on this type of question for awhile

how does this get calculated?

[H+] (hydrogen ion concentration) in mM (mmol.l-1) of a solution with a pH of 3.8?

I originally had in my head you take the PH then 10-ph then -log the answer but i feel i'm way off.

10-ph

gives molarity by definition. Convert to mM afterwards.
