Titrant Question
« on: January 23, 2005, 05:26:00 PM »
Why is it necessary to rinse a buret with titrant before filling it?

Is it because you want to clean the buret of other chemicals that may be left in the buret.

That is a good reason.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

yup! you don't want any residue from other chemicals in your buret - as that may skew your results
