Chemistry for the masses
« on: October 09, 2007, 11:31:47 AM »
I am having a....disagreement with a colleague.  He seems to feel that chemistry should be reserved for those students classified as advanced and the only way a 'regular' chemistry class should be offered is if it can cater to those in the advance class.  Does anyone know of published research showing the success (or failure) rates in college freshmen chemistry classes of those who did and did not have high school chemistry?  I'd appreciate you input!
