Quantum numbers
« on: October 31, 2007, 01:07:18 AM »
Greetings,

Studying for an exam, thought I had a good grasp on the subject, did not get the same answer as the answer key

Question
" The four quantum numbers for the last electron placed in element Re"

I found the answer to be 5 2 2 1/2

The answer key says 4 2 0 1/2

I am confused, can some one either tell me I am correct or the answer key is correct, thanks so much

Your answer does appear to be correct, not sure where the 4,2,0 comes from for Re.
