Synthesis

Would someone please help me with the steps in the synthesis of 1,2-diol-cyclohexane from cyclohexane?  I'm pretty sure that my professor mentioned Cl2 in the synthesis but I'm not sure how exactly it fits in.  Thanks.

1. Chlorination to chlorocyclohexane
2. dehydrochlorination to cyclohexene
3. oxidation of cyclohexene to diol
