Have protein with "Tag"
« on: November 23, 2007, 10:12:04 AM »
Hi all,

I got a problem with this:

Imagine a copy of  moiety on the left side @ the black painted dot (right side).

Under unstable conditions (pH), the protein/peptide-Protectiongroup breaks away into: Protein + Protectiongroup (= C02 + Rest of Protectiongroup)

Let's assume that we're working under stable conditions --> how can i "cut off" the peptide +tag ? --> with tag i mean any moiety beside the PEG
-->so my aim is to have Peptide-NH-R whereas the R should always be the same
(it should be rerpoducible = if i take another batch with this protein+Protectiongroup and treat it with "the chemical solution" i wanna have the same result again..)

I hope you understand what i mean^^, im glad for any kind of support :D

regards
Diablooo
