Sigma Bonds in Aspirin

How many sigma bonds are present in acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin)?

I have guessed 8 and 13, I am really lost searched google to no avail.

look here for the structure
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspirin

1 single bond = 1 sigma bond
1 double bond = 1 pi + 1 sigma

don't forget the O-H bond

Used up all of my guesses and still did not get it.  That structure varies from the one given also so I am not sure anymore haha.  It should just be the total number of bonds correct?

did you draw the lewis dot for aspirin?  C9H8O4 I believe.  Then you count the sigma bonds, I got a much larger answer than yours.  Try that.

You may be forgetting the fact that many C-H sigma bonds in the wikipedia structure are not shown.

Do not guess. Draw structure and count. (your geuessed - 13 is OK)
